From 23 December, children aged between 5 and 11 years can be vaccinated on a voluntary basis in the 3 vaccination centres Victor Hugo, Esch-Belval and Ettelbruck.

The number of people testing positive for COVID-19 has increased from 2,593 to 2,727 cases (+5%) for the week of 13 to 19 December.

In the context of the shortening of the time between the initial vaccination and the booster vaccination and taking into account an acceleration of the deliveries of vaccines, the government has decided to temporarily reopen, as from 10 January 2022, a fifth vaccination centre at Luxexpo The Box (Luxembourg-Kirchberg).
