Dans le cadre de la Présidence luxembourgeoise du Conseil de l’Union européenne, une rencontre du groupe de travail transatlantique sur la résistance antimicrobienne (TATFAR) aura lieu à Luxembourg les 22 et 23 octobre 2015.
Le "Transatlantic Taskforce on Antimicrobial Resistance", TATFAR, a été créé en 2009 avec l’objectif d’améliorer la coopération entre les États-Unis et l’UE dans trois domaines clés:
- l’emploi approprié des médicaments antimicrobiens au sein des corps médical et vétérinaire,
- la prévention des infections pharmacorésistantes transmises en milieu hospitalier et extrahospitalier
- et les stratégies visant à améliorer la filière des nouveaux antimicrobiens.
En date du 22 octobre 2015, le forum, placé sous le thème "Gardons les antibiotiques efficaces !", sera inauguré par le commissaire européen à la santé et à la sécurité alimentaire, Vytenis Andriukaitis et la ministre de la Santé, Lydia Mutsch.

2015 Meeting of the Transatlantic Taskforce on Antimicrobial Resistance (TATFAR) - “Let’s Keep Antibiotics Effective!” (22nd–23rd October 2015)
Under the Presidency of the Council of the European Union a meeting of the Transatlantic Taskforce on Antimicrobial Resistance (TATFAR) will take place in Luxembourg on the 22nd and 23rd October 2015.
The ‘Transatlantic Taskforce on Antimicrobial Resistance’ (TATFAR) was created in 2009 with the goal of improving cooperation between the U.S. and the EU in three key areas:
- appropriate therapeutic use of antimicrobial drugs in medical and veterinary communities,
- prevention of healthcare and community-associated drug-resistant infections
- and strategies for improving the pipeline of new antimicrobial drugs.
Placed under the theme “Let’s keep Antibiotics Effective” the meeting will be opened on 22nd October, by the Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Vytenis Andriukaitis, and Ms Lydia Mutsch, Minister of Health.

Treffen der Transatlantischen Arbeitsgruppe zur Antimikrobiellen Resistenz (TATFAR) 2015 - "Lasst uns dafür sorgen, dass Antibiotika wirksam bleiben!" (22.–23. Oktober 2015)
Im Rahmen der luxemburgischen Ratspräsidentschaft der Europäischen Union, findet am 22. und 23. Oktober 2015, das Treffen der Transatlantischen Arbeitsgruppe zur Antimikrobiellen Resistenz (TATFAR) in Luxemburg statt.
Die ‘Transatlantic Taskforce on Antimicrobial Resistance’ (TATFAR) wurde 2009 gegründet, mit dem Ziel, die Zusammenarbeit zwischen den USA und der EU in drei Schlüsselbereichen zu verbessern:
- die geeignete Verwendung antimikrobieller Arzneimittel im Kreise der medizinischen und veterinärmedizinischen Ärzteschaft,
- die Vorbeugung behandlungsresistenter Infektionen welche im ambulanten wie im stationären Bereich übertragen werden, und,
- Strategien zur Verbesserung neuer antimikrobieller Mittel.
Am 22. Oktober wird das Treffen – unter dem Thema „Lasst uns dafür sorgen, dass Antibiotika wirksam bleiben!“ - von EU-Kommissar für Gesundheit und Lebensmittelsicherheit, Vytenis Andriukaitis und Gesundheitsministerin Lydia Mutsch, eröffnet.
