The number of people testing positive for COVID-19 continues to decrease slightly, but remains at a high level, with 4,013 cases for the week of 26 October to 1 November, compared to 4,133 cases for the previous week.

The number of people testing positive for COVID-19 has slightly decreased with 4,127 cases for the week of 2 to 8 November, compared to 4,700 cases for the previous week. The number of identified contacts remained stable at 12,582 The average age of those diagnosed as COVID-19 positive also remained stable at 41.4 years, compared to 41.2 in the previous week.

In order to simplify and speed up contact with the Contact Tracing team, the tracing procedure via the declaration forms has been optimised.

The number of people testing positive for COVID-19 is up sharply with 4,701 cases for the week of 26 October to 1 November, compared to 3,388 cases for the previous week (+39%). ​ The number of identified contacts also increased to 12,562 (+26%).

Due to the high demand for coronavirus diagnostic tests, two Sampling Centres (Centres de prélèvement - CDP) will open this week.

The number of people testing positive for COVID-19 is up sharply (265%) with 3,387 cases for the week of 19 to 25 October, compared to 1,280 cases for the previous week. ​ The number of contacts also reached a very high level with 9,980 contacts compared to the 7,878 contacts previously identified (+27%).

In the current context, with a significant resurgence of new COVID-19 infections and the arrival of classic seasonal epidemics (influenza, pneumonia, bronchiolitis, etc.), general medical practices, paediatric practices and COVID branches of the emergency services are beginning to be increasingly solicited.

The Ministry of Health strongly urges people who test positive for COVID-19 to self-isolate as soon as they receive their results from the laboratory, or even to self-quarantine, if they are informed that they were in high-risk contact with a person who tested positive.

In view of the worrying increase in the number of new COVID-19 infections over the last three days, the Health Inspectorate's contact tracing unit has adapted its operating mode in order to increase its responsiveness in contacting people. This adaptation will be operational from Friday 23 October 2020.

The number of people testing positive for COVID-19 is up sharply (59%) with 1,280 cases for the week of 12 to 18 October, compared to 805 cases for the previous week. ​ The number of contacts also reached a very high level with 7,924 contacts compared to the 6,780 contacts previously identified (+17%).

In the weekly review from 5 to 11 October, the Ministry of Health stated that 12% of all positive cases in Luxembourg are linked to education field. It should be pointed out, in this context, that this number includes all students from the University of Luxembourg as well as students from foreign universities with residency in Luxembourg.

During the week of 5 to 11 October, the number of positive cases (806, +47%) and the number of their identified close contacts (6,868, +50%) increased significantly.

During the week of 28 September to 4 October, the number of residents testing positive for COVID-19 is up 19% with 549 people, compared to 460 the previous week. The number of contacts remains at a stable high level with 4,619 compared to 4,666 contacts (-1%) the previous week.

During the week of 21 to 27 September, the number of residents testing positive for COVID-19 decreased by 32%, with 460 people compared to 672 the previous week. This trend is also reflected by the number of contacts, with 4,670 contacts compared to 5,441 (-14%) contacts in the same period.

During the week of 14 to 20 September, there has been a high increase in the number of residents testing positive for COVID-19 with 672 people compared to 282 in the previous week. The number of contacts has increased by 152% with 5,441 contacts compared to 2,163 in the previous week.
