World Vaccination Week is being celebrated from 24 to 30 April. It's a good opportunity to remember that the discovery of vaccines has enabled humanity to see a reduction in the danger, and even the complete eradication, of certain formerly fatal diseases.

European Patients' Rights Day: "Patients' rights and obligations at the heart of joint reflection by healthcare system stakeholders!"
18 April is European Patients' Rights Day. First and foremost, it's an opportunity to remind everyone that every patient has a number of rights in Luxembourg set out in the amended law of 24 July 2014 on patients' rights and obligations. In 2024, this law will celebrate its tenth anniversary.

The launch of the Pollen.lu mobile application now offers effective monitoring of pollen levels in Luxembourg
Seasonal pollen allergies affect many people in Luxembourg throughout most of the year, starting in January. From now on, the mobile application Pollen.lu will enable users to monitor the concentration of pollen in the air in real time.

World Obesity Day
Every year, 4 March marks World Obesity Day. Blue March: a month dedicated to colorectal cancer prevention and screening
March, known as Blue March, is a month dedicated to colorectal cancer prevention and screening. Approximately 220,000 people in Europe are diagnosed with colorectal cancer every year, and the number is increasing. In Luxembourg, colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths, but if detected early, it can be cured in 9 out of 10 cases. Screening therefore plays an essential role.
