Extension of the health measures for air travel to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Ministry of Health wish to inform of the extension of the health measures applicable from 29 January 2021 until 31 March 2021 inclusive, for all travel by air to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

During the week from 22 to 28 February, the number of people testing positive for COVID-19 increased from 1,249 to 1,313 (+5.1%), while the number of their identified close contacts also increased from 2,766 cases the previous week to 3,101 (+13.5% ).

Launch of phase 5a of the vaccination campaign against COVID-19 with the AstraZeneca vaccine
The first invitations were sent to people under the age of 65, starting with the oldest, in line with the recommendations of the Superior Council for Infectious Diseases (Conseil supérieur des maladies infectieuses - CSMI) of 4 February 2021 concerning the conditions for administering the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Creation of a waiting list for people who did not make their appointment during the first phase of the vaccination campaign
People who have been invited to be vaccinated in the 1st phase of the vaccination campaign against COVID-19 and who have not made an appointment during this period, will nevertheless have the opportunity to be vaccinated in a vaccination centre during a later period - more precisely after the closure of the 2nd phase of vaccination.

During the week from 15 to 21 February, the number of people testing positive for COVID-19 increased from 1,099 to 1,249 (+13,7%), while the number of their identified close contacts has however decreased from 2,860 cases the previous week to 2,766 (-3,3% ).

During the week from 8 to 14 February, the number of people testing positive for COVID-19 decreased from 1,140 to 1,099 (-3,6%), as did the number of their identified close contacts, from 4,067 cases the previous week to 2,860 (-30% ).

By the end of the week, invitations will be sent out to those covered by phase 2 of the vaccination campaign.

During the week from 1 to 7 February, the number of people testing positive for COVID-19 increased from 999 to 1,140 (+14%), as did the number of their identified close contacts, from 2,774 cases the previous week to 4,067 (+47% ).

Communication on the new health measures for air travel to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
Anyone, regardless of nationality, aged 6 or over, wishing to travel by air to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, must present upon boarding the negative result (on paper or electronic document) of a test that detects SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid, or of a rapid antigen test, performed up to 72 hours before the flight.

Next phase of the deployment of the vaccination campaign against COVID-19 in Luxembourg (Phase 2)
