From 1 December 2021, the COVID-19 booster vaccines (or "3rd dose") can only be administered by appointment in the 3 vaccination centres Victor Hugo, Esch-Belval and Ettelbruck. The adult population concerned by the booster is thus asked to wait for the invitation that the Luxembourg Government will send by post, with detailed instructions on how to proceed.
Only the first dose can be administered without an appointment at the 3 vaccination centres.
A booster vaccination against COVID-19 is relevant for anyone who received:
- a two-dose vaccine (Moderna, BioNTech/Pfizer): 6 months after a full vaccination
- a two-dose vaccine (AstraZeneca): 4 months after a full vaccination
- a one-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson): 1 month after a full vaccination
