CovidCheck.lu app and validity of the "booster" vaccination

CovidCheck.lu app

A new update of the Luxembourg app CovidCheck.lu is available in the Apple and Google Play stores. From now on, the CovidCheck.lu app will display the status "invalid" when scanning cases identified as "fantasy", which have been widely discussed in recent days.

Users who have not enabled the automatic application update feature on their phone can access the new version of the CovidCheck application by visiting the app store where they downloaded it from.

They are also asked to synchronise the app with the national backend by selecting "Settings" in the app and then clicking on "Synchronise with the national backend".

Immediate validity of the "booster"

It is important to remember that the certificate concerning the booster vaccination is valid in the Grand Duchy as soon as the booster vaccine is administered.

Since each country is free to issue its own rules on the subject, it is recommended that anyone travelling abroad find out about the rules in force in the country of destination beforehand. In any case, it is also recommended to carry both the booster vaccination certificate and the previous vaccination certificate which remains valid even after the booster vaccination.

All valid certificates are available on MyGuichet.lu and in the MyGuichet.lu app.
